1. INTRODUCTION
FIFO Buddy ("we", "our", "us") is operated by FIFO Buddy App Pty Ltd (ACN 697 892 827), registered in Western Australia, Australia. We are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect the following information:
Name, email address, phone number, age, sex, and location (postcode or state)
Roster and work schedule information
Financial information you enter (savings, debts, assets, goals)
Mood, sleep, energy, and stress check-in data
Step count and related activity data
Device information and app usage analytics
3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use your information to:
Provide and improve the FIFO Buddy app and its features
Personalise your experience and track your goals, streaks and rewards
Send you relevant notifications (where you have allowed them)
Analyse app usage via PostHog analytics (only where you have consented)
Comply with our legal obligations
4. ANALYTICS CONSENT
We only collect usage analytics where you have opted in. You can change your analytics preference at any time in the App's settings. If you have not opted in, no usage analytics are collected.
5. HEALTH AND ACTIVITY DATA
With your permission, FIFO Buddy reads step count and related activity data from Apple HealthKit. This data is used to power features such as your wellbeing snapshot, streaks and rewards, and is stored securely in your account so these features work across sessions and devices. We do not use Apple HealthKit data for advertising, and we do not share it with data brokers. You can revoke HealthKit access at any time through your device settings.
6. THIRD PARTY SERVICES
We use the following third party services, each of which has its own privacy policy:
Supabase (database and storage)
PostHog (analytics, only with your consent)
Sentry (crash and error reporting)
Apple App Store
We recommend you review the privacy policies of these providers. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not allow these providers to use your information for their own purposes.
7. DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY
Your data is stored securely on Supabase servers. We implement row-level security, encryption in transit and at rest, and regular backups. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
8. DATA RETENTION
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your data is marked for deletion and permanently removed after a short recovery period. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time from within the App or by contacting us.
9. YOUR RIGHTS
Under the Australian Privacy Act, you have the right to:
Access the personal information we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate information
Request deletion of your information
Withdraw consent for analytics at any time
Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC)
10. DATA EXPORT
You can export a copy of your data at any time from within the App.
11. CHILDREN
FIFO Buddy is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
12. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the App or email.
